While hiring a temporary executive may not be on the radar of every nonprofit board member facing difficult decisions, an interim executive helps during a transition to provide continuity for day-to-day operations and prepare the organization for the next permanent leader and is worth consideration.
In the past, interims might have been considered temporary placeholders to keep the lights on and mail the checks.
We position interims to be much more.
Choosing an interim executive as part of an intentional succession plan is a strategic opportunity to provide stability and ensure productive, transformational management as the organization prepares for its next chapter.
The recognition by Manage HR Magazinereflects over two decades of dedicated community leadership helping interim executives from a variety of backgrounds create intersectionality between the business models of nonprofit organizations with a methodical process for strategic transitional leadership.

I was very skeptical about hiring an interim executive director but they were a fantastic leader and exactly what we needed. I also appreciated the engagement and support from Third Sector Company.
