Pam Jacobson

Third Sector Company is thrilled to announce that Pam Jacobson has been selected as the Interim Executive Director of Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Long Beach & West Orange County (JFCS).

JFCS supports individuals, families, couples, and children in Long Beach and the surrounding communities with counseling, case management for older adults, emergency financial assistance, food and essentials, domestic violence education and prevention, and referral to ongoing resources.

I am honored to be part of Jewish Family and Children’s Services in this chapter of their evolution,” said Pam. “I have been extremely impressed with JFCS’s quality of care, commitment to excellence, and training systems put in place to support its clinicians.”

“As with so many organizations, the challenges of Covid have presented new avenues for actualizing mission, and the organization is supported by a highly dedicated and passionate board. It is my honor to help staff and lay leaders integrate the lessons learned from the past 20+ months into a vision of what’s possible for this next chapter.

Pam wanted to give a special word of thanks to Third Sector Company Senior Strategist Mike Mitchell for his “skilled matchmaking and ability to spot a good fit” for the interim engagement and peer coach. Our interim executive engagements provide leaders the chance to meet with a mentor. Janet Schulman, Senior Strategist and TSC Interim of the Year in 2006 has “offered keen insights and wisdom” to help Pam feel supported at JFCS.

Pam is a graduate of Interim Executives Academy Class #7, and for more than 25 years she has been a nonprofit leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong team-building skills and a passion for social impact organizations focused on transforming lives through human-centered design. She is former Executive Director of Hand in Hand Family & Child Development Center and former  Vice President, Care Services, of the ALS Association Golden West Chapter. Pam holds an MBA from American Jewish University, an MS from the University of Washington, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

All of the Third Sector Company community sends our best wishes to Pam and our thanks to the leadership at JFCS for putting their trust in the people, teachings and programs of Third Sector Company that have served nonprofits over the past 20 years.
