Jeffrey R. Wilcox, CFRE

Founder, President & CEO

 

Jeffrey is former Senior Vice President of United Way of Greater Los Angeles and Valley of the Sun United Way (Phoenix). He is the nonprofit columnist of the “The Third Sector Report” which appears in the Long Beach Business Journal. He is past Chair, Executive Transitions Affinity Group for The Alliance For Nonprofit Management, Past President of the Orange County (CA) Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a member of the board of directors of Advancement Northwest in Seattle. Named Alumnus of the Year in 2015 by Seattle Pacific University, he chairs the Executive Advisory Board of the School of Business, Government & Economics at SPU. Susan Adler

Senior Strategist

 

Susan has led nonprofits for over three decades, serving in the roles of Executive Director and now, as a Board President. For more than 15 years, she was the Executive Director of the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research. Prior to that appointment, she was Executive Director of the Seattle Alliance for Education. Susan has a proven track record in building strategic alliances and working with diverse stakeholders — skills honed during her work on state and federal education policy for the nation’s governors and legislators in the “other” Washington. An experienced communicator and facilitator, Susan is passionate about our responsibility to grow and shape the pipeline of future board and professional nonprofit leaders across our Seattle region as the new director of the Board Chairs Academy Alumni Advisory Council and coordinator of the Interim Executives Roundtable of Greater Seattle. Randy Brinson

Senior Strategist and Practice Lead, Board and Executive Leadership Development

 

Randy is an experienced nonprofit executive with certifications in executive leadership and nonprofit board consulting from BoardSource. He served over 25 years as a Media Executive and Content Creator at the PBS affiliate television KCTS 9 in Seattle. Randy has also provided independent consulting to Washington Recovery Alliance, Communities in Schools of Renton, Coyote Central, and Southwest Youth and Family Services. Randy supports current participants in Third Sector Company’s Board Chairs Academy to apply their classroom learning as well as supports the search process with organizational assessments, position profiling, and candidate preparation and screening. Syd Fredrickson

Senior Strategist, Client Services & Training

 

With over 25 years in the nonprofit sector and in event planning, Syd brings experience as an interim executive, a university administrator, and a conference planner with clients from the corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. As Senior Program Strategist, Syd is responsible for representing Third Sector Company’s mission and brand as it relates to its learning academies and on-going support services to the alumni who have completed Board Chairs Academy and the Interim Executives Academy. She will also be a first responder on behalf of Third Sector Company to organizations seeking interim executive and interim development support, as well as executive search services. Marc Haupert

Marc has over 35 years of experience in organization, management, development and fiscal administration. He is a seasoned professional interim executive for Third Sector Company and was named Third Sector Company’s “Interim of the Year” in 2007. Sharon Howe

Senior Strategist, Third Sector Search

 

Sharon’s work with Third Sector Company focuses on successful changes in an organization’s executive leadership. She is Co-founder and President of the Board of Directors of the Uganda Fistula Fund for TERREWODE (UFFT), which supports the TERREWODE Women’s Community Hospital in Uganda. She has worked in the nonprofit sector as a fundraising professional for over 30 years, directing development programs that built services and capital support for organizations serving women and children. Tim Kittleson

Senior Strategist, Board Leadership

 

Tim works with clients that include the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS), Otis College of Art and Design, Participant Media. In the past, he has consulted New Roads School, Doheny Eye Institute, Long Beach Opera, US Vets, Film Independent (FIND), Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, Cancer Support Community – Benjamin Center. In late 2010 and early 2011 served as interim President/CEO of The Wellness Community/West Los Angeles, the founding affiliate of the largest cancer support organization in the US. In 2010 received Third Sector Company’s Interim of the Year award. Also a volunteer consultant with Executive Service Corps; in 2014 was honored to receive its Jack Horton Outstanding Service Award. A Los Angeles Bar Association certified community mediator. Tim’s specialties include executive mentoring, board governance training, board development, fund development, marketing strategy for both 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 organizations. Mike Mitchell, CAE

With 18 years at Credit Management Association (CMA), Mike provided a wide range of business experiences, opportunities and challenges while leading the organization through many changes. In 2000, he re-imagined the 130-year-old brick-and-mortar trade credit association as a forward-thinking, technology-savvy organization. Janet is the former Executive Director of Big Sisters of Los Angeles and Chief Executive Officer of Special Olympics Southern California.  She is the lead trainer for the Wells Fargo Executive Directors Institute at Executive Service Corps of Southern California and faculty for the MBA in Nonprofit Management Program at American Jewish University in Los Angeles. She has been a Third Sector Company Interim CEO at Bienvenidos, Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce, Congregation Adat Shalom, and Westside Children’s Center.
