Jeffrey is former Senior Vice President of United Way of Greater Los Angeles and Valley of the Sun United Way (Phoenix). He is the nonprofit columnist of the “The Third Sector Report” which appears in the Long Beach Business Journal. He is past Chair, Executive Transitions Affinity Group for The Alliance For Nonprofit Management, Past President of the Orange County (CA) Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a member of the board of directors of Advancement Northwest in Seattle. Named Alumnus of the Year in 2015 by Seattle Pacific University, he chairs the Executive Advisory Board of the School of Business, Government & Economics at SPU. Jeffrey is also a partner of Social Venture Partners in Los Angeles and Seattle and is an advisor to the Encore Fellows Program in Los Angeles.
Senior Strategist – Client & Affiliate Relations – Southern California
Helen heads up the recruitment and placement of qualified professional interims that have been trained by Third Sector Company for their work with nonprofit organizations in transition. She has an extensive background in nonprofits that includes fundraising and leadership training, sponsorship development, donor recognition, policies and procedures, program assessment, and mentoring. She has served on nonprofit boards and has chaired several committees and major fundraising events.
Senior Strategist for Client Services & Training – Pacific Northwest
With over 25 years in the nonprofit sector and in event planning, Syd brings experience as an interim executive, a university administrator, and a conference planner with clients from the corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. As Senior Program Strategist, Syd is responsible for representing Third Sector Company’s mission and brand as it relates to its learning academies and on-going support services to the alumni who have completed Board Chairs Academy and the Interim Executives Academy. She will also be a first responder on behalf of Third Sector Company to organizations seeking interim executive and interim development support, as well as executive search services.
Senior Creative Strategist
With over ten years of nonprofit experience, Erin has earned a reputation for creative communication which includes digital strategy in marketing, public relations, and social media efforts. He also has a background in community leadership within the faith community, higher education, and the nonprofit sector. Through his work in various communities, he has an established commitment to multicultural community development, grassroots organizational management, and pastoral guidance, thoughtfulness, and compassion. He also has a wide breadth of experience in volunteer empowerment and event management, in which his ability to bring individuals together to serve a common purpose sets him apart.
Senior Strategist – Research
Scott manages all of the ongoing research efforts for the Third Sector Company as the organization’s Senior Strategist for Research. This includes creating, administering, analyzing, and presenting research in the context of organizational assessments, community participation and engagement surveys, interim executive evaluations, training and workshop evaluations, and data collection and aggregation for volunteer-led executive search services. He is currently working towards his PhD in industrial-organizational psychology at Seattle Pacific University and has a passion for academia, research and statistics, and nonprofit leadership.

Jan Glick is nationally recognized as an executive leader in the non-profit sector. Since 1996, Jan has been president of his own consulting firm, Jan Glick & Associates, which brings his unique expertise to Third Sector Company. The author of Nonprofit Turnaround, A Guide for Nonprofit Leaders, Consultants and Funders, his specializations include nonprofit leadership and management coaching and training, nonprofit mergers and restructuring, executive search and succession, and strategic planning.

Janet is a recognized nonprofit leader, trainer and interim executive having been named Third Sector Company’s “Interim of the Year” in 2006. Janet is the former Executive Director of Big Sisters of Los Angeles and Chief Executive Officer of Special Olympics Southern California. She is the lead trainer for the Wells Fargo Executive Directors Institute at Executive Service Corps of Southern California and faculty for the MBA in Nonprofit Management Program at American Jewish University in Los Angeles. She has been a Third Sector Company Interim CEO at Bienvenidos, Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce, Congregation Adat Shalom, and Westside Children’s Center. In her role as Senior Managing Community Partner Janet provides strategic guidance to customers and engaged interims throughout Southern California.

Susan Adler has led nonprofits for over three decades, serving in the roles of Executive Director and now, as a Board President. For more than 15 years, she was the Executive Director of the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research. Prior to that appointment, she was Executive Director of the Seattle Alliance for Education. Susan has a proven track record in building strategic alliances and working with diverse stakeholders — skills honed during her work on state and federal education policy for the nation’s governors and legislators in the “other” Washington. An experienced communicator and facilitator, Susan is passionate about our responsibility to grow and shape the pipeline of future board and professional nonprofit leaders across our Seattle region as the new director of the Board Chairs Academy Alumni Advisory Council and coordinator of the Interim Executives Roundtable of Greater Seattle.

Marc has over 35 years of experience in organization, management, development and fiscal administration. He is a seasoned professional interim executive for Third Sector Company and was named Third Sector Company’s “Interim of the Year” in 2007. Marc has held interim leadership positions at CASA Riverside, Getty House Foundation, Liberty Hill Foundation, American Red Cross Greater Los Angeles Chapter, and California Faith for Equality. Marc heads Third Sector Company’s Nonprofit Leadership Search and Support Practice throughout California.
Senior Strategist, Board Governance and Executive Search
Randy is an experienced nonprofit executive with certifications in executive leadership and nonprofit board consulting from BoardSource. He served over 25 years as a Media Executive and Content Creator at the PBS affiliate television KCTS 9 in Seattle. Randy has also provided independent consulting to Washington Recovery Alliance, Communities in Schools of Renton, Coyote Central, and Southwest Youth and Family Services. Randy supports current participants in Third Sector Company’s Board Chairs Academy to apply their classroom learning as well as supports the search process with organizational assessments, position profiling, and candidate preparation and screening.
Interim of the Year
Third Sector Company is very pleased to announce that Les Stocker of Pasadena, California has been named its “Interim of the Year” for 2018. The fifteenth recipient of the annual award, Stocker earned the recognition for his outstanding performance as Interim Executive Director of Cancer Support Community Pasadena (CSCP).
Stocker stepped into the leadership role in a time when the organization was moving into new facilities and about to launch the biggest gala of the year. He guided the turn around of the fundraising program along with crucial hires to establish positive leadership chemistry and to drive the organization forward.
