New Interim Executive for Idaho Dental Association

Third Sector Company is delighted to announce that Mike Mitchell, CAE has been selected as the Interim Executive Director of the Idaho State Dental Association in Boise, Idaho.

The Idaho State Dental Association (ISDA) is a professional association dedicated to helping dentists provide the best dental care to Idahoans. The ISDA represents more than 70% of Idaho dental professionals who have joined their membership. They are a constituent of the American Dental Association (ADA), the professional organization of dentists throughout the U.S. who are dedicated to providing the best care for their patients.

“I am very lucky to be part of the amazing team at ISDA, and I am privileged to be the transitional leader to help bridge between the association’s storied past and an aspirational future,” said Mike of his engagement. “I have spent my career working with association leaders and the members and communities they serve, and I look forward to meeting the members of ISDA to understand their needs and ensure that the Association continues to support their dental practices, their patients, and their communities.

Over the next 4-6 months, I will work with ISDA leaders to identify and hire the right next permanent team leader who can continue to work toward ISDA’s goals of being the premier voice of oral health in Idaho, advocate on key issues impacting dentistry and the oral health of Idahoans, and support the advancement of the health of the public and the success of the dental profession.“

Mike brings over 25 years of association leadership to ISDA, having served most recently as CEO of the Credit Management Association and is the Senior Strategist for Interim Placement and Support at Third Sector Company and Interim Executives Academy. He is a past Chair of the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE) and was named California’s Association Executive of the Year in 2013. He holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and earned an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
