Third Sector Company is pleased to announce that Lovisa Stannow has been selected as Interim Executive Director of the California Environmental Justice Alliance in Oakland, California.
Lovisa is a graduate of Interim Executives Academy Class #8 and has spent the past three decades working as a social justice advocate, leading nonprofit organizations in the United States and internationally. Lovisa is the former long-time Executive Director of Just Detention International, an international human rights organization that seeks to end sexual abuse in all forms of detention. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of the Pacific Institute for Women’s Health and the West Coast Director and Communications Director of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières. In the 1990s, Lovisa served as a Press Officer for Amnesty International, following several years as a journalist in Europe and Latin America.
