New Interim Advocating for Children in Southern California Court System

Third Sector Company is pleased to share that Jorge Sciupac recently began as Interim Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Ventura County.

Jorge is a graduate of Interim Executives Academy in Los Angeles and brings over 25 years of nonprofit and business experience spanning three continents. A bilingual leader, Jorge has been recognized as an expert in strategic transition and growth, driving excellence in performance and building value in creative collaborations.

We are very excited to have Jorge join CASA of Ventura County,” Marcie Sexauer, Board Treasurer, said. “Not only does he have an exceptional background of leadership experience, but also as an added bonus, has gone through the CASA training himself with CASA of Los Angeles.

Jorge stated, “I am looking forward to helping the board, staff and volunteers clearly align their priorities with the purpose of helping young people in need. When one more neglected or abused child is advocated for and feels safe, our future comes alive and we all feel safe.

Jorge holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a proud certified graduate of Interim Executives Academy.

All of the Third Sector Company community sends our best wishes to Jorge and CASA for advancing the important cause of advocating for court-dependent youth in Southern California!

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Ventura County recruits, screens, trains, and supports volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected court-dependent children in courtrooms and communities. CASA believes that every court-dependent abused or neglected child should be safe, have permanence and the opportunity to thrive, and have a strong, compassionate volunteer Advocate.
