Third Sector Company is pleased to announce that Joan Greatrake McBride has started as the Interim Development and Communications Director of the Achievable Foundation.
The Achievable Foundation is changing the face of healthcare for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For the past 20 years, the Culver City, California-based nonprofit has worked continually to respond to the evolving needs of their community.
Joan said of the engagement, “Third Sector Company has provided me with quality continuing education in transitional management for more than 15 years. My position as Interim Development and Communications Director with Achievable marks my fourth interim engagement through TSC. The Achievable Foundation provides health care to community members with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with other vulnerable populations. I am honored to support this critical mission through my interim role.“
Joan is an award-winning fund development professional who was named Third Sector Company’s 2015 Interim Executive of the Year and AFP Orange County’s 2020 Outstanding Professional Fundraiser.
Joan Greatrake McBride, CFRE, FAHP, MBA has nearly 40 years of experience in fund development and is also a graduate of Third Sector Company’s Interim Executives Academy. A fundraising generalist, Joan brings an extensive portfolio of skills and knowledge to nonprofit organizations. She is recognized for a high level of productivity, strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through, ability to meet deadlines, and a cooperative and diplomatic management style. She has managed fund development programs for a variety of organizations, from health care to the arts, education to human services.
