Colorado Center for Spiritual Living Selects Transition Leader

Based in Golden, Colorado, Centers for Spiritual Living is a global community comprised of more than 400 spiritual communities, teaching chapters, study groups and other ministries in 30 countries. Third Sector Company is proud to announce that Dr. Paula Gable has begun as the Transitional Executive Director at the home office on Genesse Mountain next to a field of bison who graze peacefully nearby.

“I continue to be impressed by the abundant talents and commitment of the amazing Staff and volunteer Leadership Council (Board) who work tirelessly and faithfully to advance this aspirational mission,” said Dr. Paula. “Although I’m on a steep learning curve, the Leadership of this 97-year-old organization is helping me get up to speed quickly in order to increase the impact of the life-transforming Science of Mind teachings. I believe they are much-needed in this bruised and aching world, because the teachings help practitioners develop a deeper sense of their connection to the Divine – and to each other and the natural world.

The board is excited about the organizational assessment process and I’m supporting a strategic planning process to launch early next year, as well as starting the permanent Executive Director search. It’s a delightful interim placement, and I’m so grateful for the support of Third Sector Company.”

Dr. Paula is a graduate of Third Sector Company’s Interim Executives Academy and offers more than 25 years of nonprofit management experience. Areas of expertise include Interim Executive Leadership, Organizational Development; Program and Project Management; Cross-functional Team Leadership; Clinical Psychotherapy for individuals, couple and families; Addictions Treatment; Career and Life Coaching; and Spiritual Direction.

Paula earned an Executive Doctorate in Business (DBA) from Georgia State; a Doctorate in Ministry to Marriage & Family; Certification as a Marriage and Family Therapist at (then Penn) Council for Relationships; an M.Div. from Lancaster Theological Seminary and a BS in Engineering from Swarthmore College.

All of the Third Sector Company community sends our best wishes to Dr. Paula and our thanks to the leadership at Centers for Spiritual Living for putting their trust in the people, teachings and programs of Third Sector Company that have served nonprofits over the past 20 years.

The Centers for Spiritual Living Home Office has nearly 40 talented and devoted Staff who support over 500 Centers (churches), Focus Ministries, Study Groups, and Schools. Most are located in North America, but CSL now has a global presence with plans to expand in the coming decade – both virtually and with practitioners on the ground.

The lofty goal of CSL affiliates is to create “a world in which each and every person lives in alignment with their highest spiritual principle, emphasizing unity with God and connection with each other; a world in which individually and collectively we are called to a higher state of consciousness and action.

Third Sector Company and the graduates of Interim Executives Academy are available to provide vetted, highly-trained nonprofit interim executive leadership. From the training and experience at Interim Executives Academy, the graduates can provide a series of protocols and deliverables to ensure a successful interim leader engagement. They will also have access to mentorship and coaching through our community of interim leadership professionals.
