Third Sector Company is pleased to announce that Ken White has been selected as the Interim Executive Director of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services in Concord, California.
Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (CCSLS) is a private, nonprofit agency that has been providing free legal services to older residents aged 60 or older in the County since 1976. Thousands of seniors have benefited from these services which have enabled them to stay in their homes, to become eligible for and to retain public benefits, to recover real and personal property wrongly taken from them, and to obtain relief from physical, financial, and emotional abuse. CCSLS seeks to provide the broadest possible access to its services. It prioritizes those areas of law relevant to the needs of older residents of the County, especially those not otherwise addressed by other legal services programs.
Ken is a graduate of Interim Executives Academy Class #12 and brings over 20 years of leadership experience. Through serving in a variety of roles and organizations, Ken has worked with a diverse set of people, settings, and resource bases. A graduate of Harvard’s Kennedy School and a former journalist, he blends a wide-ranging understanding of theories, practices, and people with firsthand experience on the ground and in boardrooms. Most recently, Ken was CEO of the Junior State of America Foundation, an 85-year-old, $6 million nonprofit that supports teen civic leadership. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
All of the Third Sector Company community sends our best to Ken and our thanks to the leadership at Contra Costa Senior Legal Services for putting their trust in the people, teachings and programs of Third Sector Company that have served nonprofits over the past 20 years.
