When looking to fill a leadership gap there are many benefits to hiring an interim leader as an experienced professional to help guide a nonprofit in a time of transition. In Covina one nonprofit is taking advantage of such an opportunity.
At Reasons to Believe, an organization bridging science and religion, the work of Third Sector Company interim Andrew Delgado is helping to stabilize the search for the next leader of the nonprofit. “As our organization walks through a time of transition, we’re thrilled to have a seasoned professional alongside us to guide our steps,” says Kathy Ross, Executive Vice President of Reasons to Believe.
For the past 30 years Andrew has worked very closely with underserved and neglected populations as the previous executive director of Century Center for Economic Opportunity, Inc., Century Freeway Affirmative Action Committee, and the Small Business Institute – Marin Community Colleges. He served on the board for UJCC, a community group in South Central Los Angeles, and is former president of California YouthBuild Coalition and the Los Angeles YouthBuild Collaborative. He holds an MBA from the University of California Los Angeles.
RTB’s mission is to spread the Christian Gospel by demonstrating that sound reason and scientific research—including the very latest discoveries—consistently support, rather than erode, confidence in the truth of the Bible and faith in the personal, transcendent God revealed in both Scripture and nature.
